Q. Do I need to sit for a portrait?
A. Ideally portraits require the subject to sit for the artist. If you are visiting India and can schedule time to sit for the artist that can be arranged. However, it is not mandatory that you need to sit for your portrait.
Q. Can you make my portrait from a photograph?
A. Yes, a portrait can be created from the photograph you send us.
Q. Can I define the pose and the background for the portrait?
A. While the background can be changed easily according to the one specified by you, including a seascape or landscape, however, regarding the pose, especially if you want a specific profile it would be advisable that you send us the photograph in the pose that you desire for best results.
Q. Can you do a sepia tint portrait?
A. Yes. You can choose which colour tones you wish your portrait to be created in, including sepia tint, black & white and multicolour.
Q. Can I choose the artist I wish to do my portrait?
A. Yes. You can choose from the artists listed who paint portraits.
Q. Can I choose the medium?
A. Yes. You may choose the medium, that is, whether you want your portrait in water colour on paper or oil or acrylic on canvas. However, please note that you would then need to see the artist who is comfortable with the medium you desire. The cost between different mediums would also differ.
Q. Is there any limit to the size I can specify for my portrait?
A. Not in principle. However each individual artists may have preferred sizes.
Q. How long will it take for my portrait to be completed?
A. This is subject to the medium and size you have defined. It varies from artist to artist; approximately it should take 4 weeks. |
