The exhibition is the brainchild of Kavita Shivdasani who is a social worker. The art workshops, that were conducted in the various jails with the permission of the authorities, have given the criminals the opportunities to 'free' their minds. Their artworks cover a gamut of emotions and themes - from the despair of life behind bars to the wild abandon of expression with colour. The returns from the sales of the paintings will accrue to the artists (prisoners). bCA Galleries is proud to be a part of this wonderful opportuntiy for art lovers to be a part of socially relevant exhibition. |
