Comments:
The paintings vividly capture the essential combination of the basic minimum requirements in industry and existence. The artist equates the nail, the smallest element in production and construction with the 'roti' or Indian bread which is the basic element in food and sustenance. The imagery of the eyeballs in some of the works conjures up the logic that the eyes can be windows to your soul only when there is a mind and body attached, by themselves the eyes are nothing, dead, and they have no voice of their own!
