Comments:
Nilesh Prajapati studied Fine Art at L S Raheja School of Art and earned the Government Diploma in Fine Art in 1993. Thereafter, he has been carrying out his art practice in Mumbai. The artist has participated in numerous group shows including the prestigious Bombay Art Society and Lalit Kala Academy’s Triennale. His works are with collectors in India, America and Singapore.
The artist had studied portraiture and had built a reputation as an accomplished portrait painter earlier in his career. He always had a special affinity towards abstraction and has continued to take it to new levels. For him, abstraction is a meditative process. In other words, it is like a Samadhi – a state of consciousness where he becomes one with his canvas. This suite of canvases has been painted during the year 2008
The painter lives and works in Mumbai. |
