Comments:
With printmaking as my M.F.A subject my works depicts immense anxiety behind treating a surface & searching into various surfaces (mediums). Texture being the voice of surface, is my fundamental element for expressing my thoughts.
As in nature we have many ‘Ephemeral texture- those which alter as we watch or touch them, constant state of changing or by nature are temporary, we can’t hold them, in same way our mind has various textures (experiences, thoughts) e.g. nine rasaas which are also ephemeral, changing. I try to give a visual form to these changing mind experiences which are not seen but only felt on conceptual level. The reason behind me, working more in mix media printing is nothing but to justice with textural possibility of surface with that of my experiences or thoughts i.e. making proper analyses of particular medium by getting closer to it possibilities & not just mastering its technique so as to suits its compatibility with that of my conceptual thoughts or experiences. |
