Comments of the artist:
When I begin a canvas ,I stand blank in front of the white space.I am as blank as the canvas in front of me.From the moment I load my brush in colour & touch to canvas, everything starts falling in line.Somewherefrom deep within the painting begins to take shape.
What I believe in are human relationships man-woman,brother-sister,the earth & gods above,naturein full bloom;these are thesurfeit in my psyche & all my visions paintings are about this.
My childhood & youth was spent in the lush of KONKAN .All the riches of that region ,the colours, the people ,the landscape & birds ,are all. There in the reserves of my being.Ipaint what I see around –the day-to-day couple in my memories.I do not look at negation, I paint only the positive. |
