Comments:
Limitations of language make various artists work and Dhirendra Mandge is not an exception but he is exceptionally gifted to communicate in the visual language of his own. “The colours I put on canvases are my words and the painting is a script”, he states. More correctly speaking they are the statements of the feelings of Dhirendra as he finds solace, tranquility or sense of contentment in the act of painting. One can easily witness a blend of new ideas and maturing skills in his works. He doesn’t always decide what is to be painted exactly as it kills spontaneity but as the painting reaches accomplishment it is quite something…a dynamic work in vibrant colours. His works are marked for unity in diversity as you can see sections in them but there is a unifying entity that joins them and they are one.
A qualified artist (MFA) from Govt. Fine Arts College, Indore, Dhirendra has come a long way and is likely to keep advancing in his artistic quest. He would keep marching ahead and contribute something even more beautiful…even more colourful…even more joyful.
Dhirendra has participated in various group shows besides holding solo shows ever since 1992, when he was only a student. An ever since then he has kept the torch lit by discovering…by digging deep…by being an eager finder and by being a hard-working performer.
He is a promising artist and it is sure to find the place it deserves.
